Mobile Banking to Evolve as did Online Banking

The mobile market has grown significantly over the past several years, particularly in the US, where many players offer some form of services for their customers. Some had anticipated that mobile phones would essentially become portable ATM (Automated Teller Machines) by the year 2011.   Today, approximately 46 Million households currently bank online.  It is estimated that 30% of US households will bank using their mobile phones in 2013.

There is a gap between using the PC rather than using the mobile for banking.  More US consumers use the PC for their banking services.

Mobile vs. Online Banking

The US will follow the adoption evolutionary path as that experienced by online banking.  It took approximately ten years to reach 40 Million online banking users. It could take another ten years to reach the same amount for Mobile banking.
