What is CCAC in the Cloud? Computing, Content, Applications, and Commerce
The importance of understanding business models and the economics of distributed computing systems and services has generally remained unchanged in the move to Cloud computing.
It is important to recognize that the migration to “The Cloud” will impact more than just “computing” and that is will significantly impact Content, Applications, and Commerce. It also represents both a significant threat and great opportunity for legacy/incumbent network operators (fixed, wireless, and next generation carriers). It is imperative that incumbent operators take steps now to position themselves for these significant changes in Computing, Content, Applications and Commerce (CCAC) as their existing revenue streams and future profitability will depend on successful positioning and execution.
